My customers are the best bit ❤

There's a part of Luckies that makes zero sense on a spreadsheet. I pack every single order myself. A handwritten note, lollies, little message capsules tucked in the pocket. It's fiddly and costs money and time to do.

But it's the part I'd never cut, because it's where I get to know you. And lately, you've been reminding me why I started this whole thing.

Leonie, who passed the joy on

In September we said goodbye to Penny, our rescue greyhound of eight years. I told my email list about it, mostly because I didn't know what else to do with the feeling.

That week I sat down to do some Luckies work and ended up reorganising the entire linen closet instead. Grief does weird things to your to-do list.

Then Leonie's email landed. Her order had arrived: knickers, a bralette and a singlet. She said unwrapping it made her feel special, from something she'd bought for herself. Then she told me something I didn't see coming.

She'd read the little message capsules in her parcel, then rewrapped them so she could pass them on to someone else.

Joy, forwarded. I sat back down at my desk.

Later she left this on Google:

Alyson, who asked the right question

Alyson ordered in June. Then she came back in August for more. Then she left this:

I've been asking that exact thing since day one. It's the whole reason Luckies exists. Regular healthy discharge is normal. Wrecked gussets and plastic-y panty liners shouldn't be.

Kind words are lovely. But Alyson voted with her knicker drawer, twice, and that's the compliment that keeps a small business going.

What you've taught me

  • The little things aren't little. A note in a parcel can travel further than I'll ever know.
  • Feeling looked after shouldn't be a luxury. It should be your Tuesday.
  • You're a small but mighty bunch. Every review, reply and second order keeps this tiny business going.

So thank you. For reading my emails, writing back, and wearing the knickers. I'll keep packing every order by hand.

If you've got a pair and a minute, I'd love a Google review. I read and respond to every single one:
